I'm making my mom a quilt for Christmas. I put it out the quilting frame last night with plans to get up early today and quilt it. Well, I have been working on it all day and only have it 2/3 done. The thread keeps breaking after about 3 inches of stitches. I finally decided to oil my machine tonight and start again in the morning. Vent over. Thanks for listening!

We all need to vent sometimes. Better luck in the morning.

Always glad to listen to vents, helps doesn't it. Think positive, tomorrow is another day.

I have about the same progress report on the one I'm doing...only it is being hand quilted and I haven't worked on it for over a week. Hope I get my act together and get it done!

I find that when my thread breaks a lot, I need a new needle. Have you tried that? I am sure your mom will love it, even if you have to give it to her unfinished with the promise to finish it after Christmas.
