Batting for mug rugs?
What is the best batting to use for mug rugs? I have some Warm and Natural, as well as some polyester (lost the label...not sure exactly what it is!) I looked for insulated batting yesterday but couldn't find any, so I figured I'd just use what I have. The Warm and Natural seems pretty thin for a mug rug/heat protection. Do I double the W&N, or put in some old towels, or what would be best?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have used both of those mentioned. The batting pieces were left over scraps. For mugrugs, I use the "mistake" embroidery blocks (ones I won't put into a whole quilt but still good enough) and attach to one block with stippling. Add a piece of backing and then binding.
Glasses don't wobble on them.
You can also piece the batting scraps to fit the mugrug as needed.

Thanks for all the responses. I guess I'll go with the W&N. I have several mug rugs ready to go, in sets of 4, so I'll see how the first four feel and go from there.
This is pretty much the reassurance I was hoping for!
