As I was practicing FMQ last night about 12 am my D1 kept telling me I had a thread break but didn't. I have cleaned it several times, changed threads, bobbin thread, needle but to no avail. I think maybe it has something to do with the thread cutter. You all with a D1 have you ever had this problem. My dealer is out of town until Sat. I really, really need it.

Did you turn machine off and on again? Sometimes this resets the machine. I agree with you....I think it could be the thread cutter sensor that is the problem.
Also, try setting machine to do strait stitch and if this works, you can set the FM setting again.
