Count me in when I return from shopping, necessity of thread oh and food. I have 2 quilts ready for a quick quilt finish .
Then need to design some bags etc to make as Xmas present for children hospital on that special day. Over here in UK Christmas is the big get together day as we don't do thanks giving.
Finished one quilt will post pictures as I go later
See you all in five hours time.

Think I'm in if I can keep my attention span going for the weekend.. I got this idea to make all the nieces, and nephews throws for Chanukah.. Thank G-d it's in the end of Dec.. Three are complete. One other top done. One other 1/2 done, and one that hasn't been started.. Then if I am really ambitious I will make two more for my sister in laws niece, and nephew who I have watched grow up.. I'm making them as string quilts, and scrap quilts.. I have all the supplies, so no need to shop for anything.. Ughhh.. Maybe need more thread.. Can I do it? Yup!!!

I guess I'm kind of joining in on the quilting weekend as our small (7 of us) quilt group is getting together for a quilt day and potluck. We do this twice a year and get together at one of the gal's church so we really have room to spread out. It's kind of neat as the church is an older quaint church in the country. It wouldn't work for me quilting at home as deer hunting season opens here today and hubby & son hunt on our land so are in and out most of the day so I've left them "food" to survive and I'm out of here. I will be working on a string quilt using stash. Will check in tonight to see what everyone is doing. Enjoy your day!

I will be spending time with my mom and finishing a baby quilt and working on another which is a printed panel and I will be using the utility stitch on it. I will check in tomorrow to see the progress on all of the wonderful projects!

I'm starting this: http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/magazi.../quilt-sampler - its the cover quiilt on the Better Homes and Gardens Fall/Winter 2014 Quilt Sampler magazine. I will finish cutting out this evening, and start paper piecing tomorrow. Lord only knows how long it will take - gonna calculate how many pieces are in it now!
And jtquilts: what is "the utility stitch"?
