I guess I'm in this one, I just started another handbag, the front and back have a granny square motif that I sewed using strip sets (once I spent a day working out the pattern and math ), I'll snap a pic later this evening or tomorrow. Love seeing everyone's works in progress!

I love that quilt FelineFanatic and your quilting is setting it off really nicely.

I didn't get off to a very good start. I got upstairs and put the Juki in the new Ezisew table. The panel that holds the machine was too low. I checked and I put it together right. Hmmmmm. . . Then it dawned on me that there were 2 sets of hangers with no explanation of which ones to use. They looked just the same so I just used one set. I got the other set out and sure enough they were about 1/2 inch shorter and that was about how much too low the machine was when it was in the table. Sooooooo . . . I took the table apart, put the shorter hangers in, put it back together turned it over and sat it on the legs, put the Juki in the it was just right!

Then I decided to boot the Bernina up and use it to FMQ my wall hanging. Bernina won't boot up. Turned it off, turned it back on. All I could get was a back background with some yellow and red lines. Dang. My Bernina is my go to machine for garment construction and I really don't want to buy a new one now. I shut it down and go get some laundry. Fold laundry, do a bit of work on my hexies and decide to try it again. It booted up! I did some FMQ practice with some random thread I had around. Then I put the Invisafil on it and had to adjust the tension (which I figured I would). I finally got it adjusted, did some FMQ practice and realized I didn't have enough thread to do the project.

At that point, since things hadn't been going really well, I just worked on hexies for a couple hours until my husband came home. Hopefully, tomorrow I can get some work done on FMQ'ing the string quilt. Wish me luck!
