Default Virtual Quilting Weekend -- 12/18 to 12/20/15

Are you realizing Christmas is only next week and your gifts aren't done yet? Maybe you have some UFOs you would like to cross off your list before the end of the year. Or perhaps you just want to make something for yourself! Whatever your project is, we would love to have you join us for the Virtual Quilting Weekend. We will be here all weekend working on our own projects and we love to see what others are working on and to share pictures.

For those new to the idea, since the Board is spread out across the world, once a month (generally!), we "gather together" on this thread and share what we're working on. Many people come away with new ideas (because we never have enough already!) and with much accomplished over the weekend. Come and go as fits your schedule. If you have any questions, just ask.

And cleaning your quilting room is a project!

Hi Heather! I will be joining you on Friday and Sunday, but we have a family gathering Saturday so no sewing that day. I will be working on Clue 4 of the Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt - clues 1-3 are already finished.

What a great idea! I might join in and share what I'm working on this weekend. I've got a tumbler quilt cut out and have been trying to find time to sit down and start sewing on it. Also, I recently purchased a pretty decorative iron rack and I'd like to make a small decorative red/white quilt block for a little holiday cheer in my quilting room.

I'm looking forward to the weekend!

I'm happy to say that both of my Christmas quilts are en route to their intended recipients. However, I have a lot of small scraps and small batting scraps, so I will be busy stuffing dog beds while the kennel has their "shelter supply drive". That will help me clean up my quilt room

I wish I could. I had foot surgery today and can't drive or sew for 5 days. I went to the library yesterday and stocked up on my reading material to keep me entertained since I can't do anything.

One of my recipients received her quilt. It is cross-stitched by hand and quilted by hand. She is a breast cancer survivor and my husband and I are amazed by her strength and courage.
