I finished appliquing my BOM blocks. I will embroider the last details on the second block this evening. The BOM is free from Quilt Doodle Designs. I'm changing it a bit, like finishing off the snowball part of the blocks once I see how the whole quilt will look in the end. It's making a fun side project.

I also organized some more fabric onto comic book boards. Sorry the lighting is terrible. Its in a dark hallway with one tiny light at the other end, lol!

Default The UFO Quilt

Been helping a novice quilter get a quilt ready for a baby shower. I cut the kit for her as she was to afraid she'd make a mistake and there was only so much fabric.

AND I'm quilting the last row of a Heart Quilt that I've had for a couple of years. Came in a bag of scraps to the hospital group I sew with. It will return finished. 12" finished blocks. I know why the person dumped it. Their interpretation of the 2.5" block and 1/4"seam were something else.
I'm using Candy Glendening QAYG by COLUMNS. Can be found on youtube. SO darn easy.

My Word for 2018 is COMPLETION. I'm going to get my UFO's, WIP, PIGS and other sorts in order. I have finished two already. Two are at the LA and this will be done this week.

NZquilter, I have those blocks printed out but haven't done them yet Yours look cute, I might have to work on them this week.

Kathy, can't wait to see your Talking Turkey.

I took today off and didn't even go in my sewing room. I need to run to Joann's in the morning to pick up some shape-flex interfacing. Then my husband wants to cook something in the Instant Pot (he doesn't think I use it enough--which is true!). We might bake a couple batches of cookies so will probably be the afternoon before I get back in my sewing room.

I really enjoyed reading and seeing what you were all working on. See you next month!

I just have to say again how happy I am with the sashing looking so good on the Masonry. Also, I am using the same fabric for another project that is Stacked Coins. I named it Numispatic.

Well I had to go to plan B, the yarn couching reminded me of 1970's crewel embroidery LOL - too heavy and fuzzy. This is going well as long as the blue lines wash out!

Good evening everyone just loving everything that everyone is posting, I got a little something did yesterday and then the power went off, literally. When it (the power) returned I was out of the mood to sew. Today was church day, and I haven't been in a few Sundays. The other members questioned if I still attend there.(LOL) I stopped by JoAnn's to pick up some sewing notions and when I got home and cook a little something to eat, I was once again out of the mood to sew. So, hopefully that I can complete some domestic quilting in the morning and maybe get a picture or two posted. Thank you everyone for allowing me to enjoy and relish your good works. Have a restful evening.

Everyone's projects look great, Kathy please let us know if the lines wash out. That looks like a great way for me to practice some fmq.

I had a good day in the sewing room. We had our date night yesterday and didn't get home till midnight. So we slept in this morning. I was able to finish the PP blocks and seams came out nice. I attached the extra borders around the squares so the blocks float. Now to finish the applique on 3 of the baskets then assemble.

Watched Datona today lots of crashes, but made removing the paper from the back of the squares more enjoyable.
Now to relax with some hand quilting, almost half way done.

Enjoy the evening.

Well, today was a total bust for me. Power outage in the a.m. and playing catch up for the rest of the day. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Heather thanks for hosting the VQW, it motivated me to set some goals and surprise - I actually met a few!
Baby quilt is fully completed, fence rail quilt row joining progressed and Curious George quilt is pieced, backing and batting cut.

Inside joke for quilters - monkey wrench blocks.
