I use it as a substitute for Best Press. I think the formula is 1 cup of H20, 2 oz vodka and a few drops of essential oil but you can skip the oil because it's just for the scent. I don't really measure. I just almost fill my spray bottle with water, pour in some of my husband's vodka and I add only 2 drops of essential oil in a linen scent. Mix it up really well and it works great and is cheap, especially since DH doesn't know I use his vodka, LOL.
I like the occasional martini but not while sewing or pressing!
If you do a QB search for Best Press you'll see all kinds of discussions on this topic. Good luck with however you decide to use the vodka!!

I have heard of this but always wonder why someone would pay that price even to drink. We do not drink and even if it was the best starch money could buy I would not ues it. Someone would see me buy it and that would be the end of my testimony of faith.

Takes the wrinkles out of me, especially with a splash of tonic & twist of lime. But I let the steam iron take out the wrinkles, on fabric that is.
Hey, what if I just put the vodka in the steam iron, and away we go !
