Default Too close for comfort!

I just finished a large flannel quilt in time for Father's Day that I started in Dec for a Jan birthday. Simple block pattern, even cross stitched a label for the back and pillow cover/storage. It turned out great and I was more pleased than usual. Most of the fabric was from Fabric Depot so was good quality but the backing was a new sheet and a brand I was confident with. I prewashed it and probably would not have washed it a second time except for the color. If it's going to bleed, it's probably going to be red so I did a little test...uh oh! I got some color catchers and put 3 in and turned the washer on. It came out "okay" except for the thread lines on the lighter fabrics and the label which is pretty much pink. I only dried it about 3/4 in the dryer and then hung it up. Do you think if I wash it again, it will take out more of the bleeding?

So this is a finished quilt you are washing? Washing again in Synthrapol will probably take out more of the bleeds. Synthrapol suspends unset dye particles in water so they are rinsed away. In my experience, Synthrapol is more reliable than color catchers; however, Synthrapol requires hot water.

If you don't want to use Synthrapol, then I would try washing again to see if I could get more of the bleeds out.
