Does anyone know of a memory ("friendship") quilt pattern that can be used where people sign the fabric? I want to make one for a friend using Bible verses and am unable to find one. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to all - may you have a Blessed day!

Funny! I've just posted a question about signature quilts also. There are many patterns out there, but I used this one by Sandy Gervais called Sticks and Stones, because it afforded a large writing surface for the guests at my mom's 80th birthday party.

I love the idea of the bible verses. Can't wait to See it. xoxo

At our quilt guild, they made a quilt in the middle with a piano key or crayon box border and we all signed each one of the border strips. Don't know if this would help but I like the sticks and stones pattern also.

take 5" muslin squares, add 3 1/2" scrappy squares to opposite corners, stitch across diagonally, trim the outside triangles and press the scrappy triangles toward the corner. you now have a white center where things are written/signatures, and scrappy corners, or you can of course use a certain color scheme. look in the pictures area for siggy blocks i think there is not only a tutorial but also pictures of layouts with them
i only said 5" starting because it sounded to me that you wanted to write more than a name on them maybe wanted them larger, we did the siggy blocks starting with 3 1/2" squares, you can adjust for any size you want

I thought this one was kind of a neat pattern.
