I'll have to check out our Super Walmart and see if it's back in the fabric business again. Thanks for the heads up. :D

No it is not false. I am the department manager of the Mount Vernon Ohio Wal-Mart and it is true. Fabric is staying in our stores and others also. Thanks to all who have objected to the removal of fabric and the countless phone calls and emails that our home office has received. Thanks everyone.

Some of our stores here took out the fabric dept but the new ones have or are adding it.
I kept telling them, that even tho I don't buy fabric every time I come in , that if they didn't carry it I would have no reason to come in. That is why I no longer go to K Mart and other none fabric stores.
I always go to the craft dept first and check to see if anything new ther,e that I cannot live without.

So thank GOD that they are bringing it back.

PS goes to show you women are always right, cause it was Sam Walton's, wife that wanted the fabric etc sold in the first place

I've noticed it in our Walmart, which is enlarging the fabric department, and the clerks and I are on a first name basis due to my frequent stops and they confirmed this also.
They did the same with yarn, less ounces like 6 instsead of 8

and w/cookies, they are less in package, they are smaller and less frosting :)

I'm going to look and if not there will ask the manager every time I'm there.

On the cost of cotton, because the farmers (and my mother is one) planted so much more cotton this year because of the shortage and good prices, now there is a lot and the prices will come back down - though probably not to what they were.
