Has anyone used this to make bags with? A co worker made the tabitha bag and said she went to hancocks and they didn't know what it was. I guess she did get some after all.

Interesting idea... I didn't know what it was called, but I can see where it would have a lot of good uses.
Thank you for bringing this up :D:D:D

Yes, I was able to buy it at a quilt show where they were selling a bag pattern. I haven't made the purse, yet.

I am not sure exactly myself I yet. Although I did look it up at Joanns on line. My friend told me that they use this to put in
hats.

I have used buckram to make curtain pelmets. I think all buckram is very stiff.

I thought it was used to put the pleats in drapes.

I do believe that buckrum is used in drapery pleats or anywhere else stiffening is needed. It is NOT to be washed. It falls into a glorious mush-like substance when it gets wet and there goes your nice stiff pleats, etc.

I've used it in hat making. Wouldn't want to use it for anything else. :0)

Edit: I've used it to make doll pates on old bisques, too. Forgot about that.

Is it sold in the drapery making section then? How wide does it come?
