My quilt guild is holding a challenge, the theme is "In the Movies". We have been given a piece of fabric which has nothing to do with the theme, but will be part of the requirement of the challenge. I have wracked my brains to come up with some ideas, but seem to have a mental block. My family have come up with ideas eg Mickey Mouse, etc. so I thought I might get some answers if I ask fellow quilters.
Thanks in "anticipation"

Could you post a picture of the challenge fabric too?

I guess I don't understand what you are asking.

I saw in a magazine somewhere, can't really remember where though.... anyway it was a quilt made like a canister of 35 mil film and had pictures coming out of the roll on frames, and rolled back up into the canister. Maybe you could do different movie themes in each frame. If I find the picture I will post it. Hope it gives you some ideas.

How about things you could find at the drive-in movies, convertibles, popcorn, hotdogs, speakers, large screen, etc.

I would love to see a picture, at least now my "mental" block is starting to focus on the idea.

I am not sure how to put a photo up on this board. If someone can help, then I can show the fabric.
