So I've figured out that the major problem was my just 'eyeballing' the seam allowance and it getting smaller the further I went along. crap. I think I might have to start over. My question is, I already cut all my fabric!!! Do you all think starching and steaming now, after it's been cut is a good idea?

If you started out with a consistent seam allowance, you might be okay with removing some of the outer wavy rows of the quilt. There is no harm in trying to starch & press your already-cut blocks, as long as you press up and down and don't swipe the iron across the fabric. Be aware, the pieces might also shrink. It may be a pain in the tush and very labor intensive, so it's up to whether or not you'd think it's worth the trouble.

I've forgotten to starch before cutting bias and found if I just spray some starch into a pie pan, then take a pile of your cut pieces (about 1/2" to 1" high stack at most) and "dip" the cut edge into the pie pan starch and let dry it will stabilize those edges. Then as you go to piece, press and re-measure with your templates. You can always trim any extra(& you might find the starchy edge helps you keep that 1/4" seam allowance more consistent). This is a really nice quilt--take your time and please post pics for us.
