What am I doing wrong? Trying to embroider with a Pfaff

I have a new Creative 2.0 and trying to embroider. It doesn't embroider unless I use the pedal. It should start when I am using the backstitch button. How do I fix it?
Found it!!! It wasn't the backstitch what I had to use but a different button. I the backstitch was for my old machine the 2140.

Is your pressure foot down? I don't have a Pfaff with this feature, but my Brother will only stitch if the pressure foot is down and the foot pedal is not hooked up. I don't have a switch to move. Also, won't stitch unless the correct frame is in the correct position.
