Some batiks are very pretty but I have seen some ugly ones too.

lol... i was just getting ready to say... its basically tye dyed cotton quilting fabric lol...

I love them, helps blend different colors together very well :D

Tanya, if you don't stop collecting purple fabric your daughter's quilt is going to be a triple California King!!!! Repeat after me: "I can't have any more purple fabric". :lol: :lol: :lol:

lol... im not actually gathering more...
i cut all purples into strips... just over 600 - 2" x 6"
need 784 lol :roll: so i ordered another 3 yards (sending a fq of each to my july pal next month)
i am going to order a batik for the sashing rows between braid lol :P

i am soooo not a fan of purple or pink otherwise lol... dont it figure that those are 2 of my DDs favorite colors lol... (525 squares of pink and the 784 strips of purple) sick of both colors already lol I decided they are lucky i love them and am obsessed with making them lol
after these 2 are done, i doubt if i want to see any more purples (or pinks) lol
