Default What is this block? Makin' me crazy...

I inherited 220 of these blocks in various 1970-90's fabrics. I'm going to make them into comforters for a local women's shelter and the neighborhood teens are going to help knot them. WHAT on earth is the name of the block?!? I looked through my massive "Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns" by Jinny Beyer to no avail. Anyone know? I'm stumped and I'm insanely curious. Thank you!

Nice block and it looks like a windmill to me but I don't know the name.

I was thinking some type of windmill or pinwheel but couldn't find a match.

The Sizzex die company calls it Tessallating Pinwheels but it think it has other names also.

Yes!! That is it! It does create a second whirly once pieces together. Mine won't though because it is so insanely scrappy. Thank you!

Interesting pattern. If you ever have any questions about quilts, patterns or quilting, someone, somewhere on this board will come up with an answer. Amazing.

Couldn't find my file with directions, but I made a baby quilt using this pattern back in 2011. Here is a pic:
