Default What Block of the Month are you joining for 2021?

If someone already started a 2021 block of the month thread, please direct me to it. If not, what 2021 free block of the months are you joining this year?
I haven't found anything real exciting for next year - have you? Still looking.

For a few years I have participated in pumpkinpatchbc.com Block of the Month, under her blog section....if you like appliqué. This year it has been penguins...so fun. She gave a sneak peak of the 2021 and it is monkeys....pretty sure I won't be able to pass them by I recently became a paid member at The Quilt Show and am contemplating participating in their BOM which is called Color My World by Wendy Williams.... it is a free pattern if you are a paid member. I hope no one posts anything else that looks too interesting.....I am going to be so busy with just these and my other projects!

Barbara Brackman just announced one starting Jan. 13, 2020 - "Hands All Around," Louisa May Alcott and family during the Civil War. It's at civilwarquilts.blogspot.com, and you can subscribe to. I always like her blocks of the month as they aren't too difficult yet offer some challenges along the way. Several settings are also offered. I have made her blocks using Civil War fabrics as well as more contemporary ones.

Thank you Mkotch for this block of the month posting. I like the idea of just one block per month and one that reflects the Alcott family will be fun and feed my interest in that era of our country's history. I might even go shopping for a specific pallet of fabrics for this quilt as a way to refresh my quilting options for 2021. I am "in" and have the second Wednesday marked on my calendar.

Not exactly block of the month, but I’m considering doing this one that my friend Cathe has put together. She taught me to quilt about 12 years ago and has great techniques. It’s $30 but I have taken classes with her and know it’ll be worth it. The patterns she has taught me I’ve used repeatedly. I’ve never done a mystery quilt before and I’m intrigued.

Here are a few to consider:

(Many online sites that offer free BOMs every year are still finishing up 2020 projects, and haven't announced anything for 2021 yet. But, it you watch their sites, or sign up for their newsletters, you can learn about them as soon as they begin.)

These have already posted new BOMs for 2021:

https://kimlapacek.com/2020/12/an-ol...onth-2021.html

Jen is doing another monthly color challenge:
https://patternsbyjen.blogspot.com/2...challenge.html

and
https://blog.fatquartershop.com/category/serendipity/

These haven't posted 2021 info yet, but have a free BOM every year:

suzysitcom always has at least one. right now, she is finishing up two BOMs, so she has not yet announced anything for 2021. I will be watching for it.
https://suzyssitcom.com/

pat sloan always has several. I keep an eye on her here:
https://www.ilovetomakequilts.com/

Wooly Block Adventure also happens every year. They haven't announced 2021 just yet.

Claudia has a paper piece BOM each year. She is just finishing up the 2020 Snowflakes BOM, so have to watch for what she will do next

Canadian Quilter has been doing a Row x Row each year

more to watch for

oh
also
Snowy Days Quilting has been doing QALs
Nothing posted for 2021 yet, but all these are still available to download for free:

I couldn't add to the above list of BOM if I tried. I chose https://kimlapacek.com/2020/12/an-ol...onth-2021.html for me for 2021. It looked like a lot of fun to do.

Well.....
fingers crossed for most of these:

Not exactly a BOM, but this is an ongoing 100 day quilt along project that is almost over for 2020. I'm watching for the new one for 2021 to be announced. You can do this in a modern or improv or traditional way. Lots of online quilting blogs participate. Here are some:

http://gemini-stitches.blogspot.com/...ler-quilt.html
https://www.elmstreetquilts.com/2017...-100-days.html
http://www.blossomheartquilts.com/20...ocks-finished/
https://www.sarahgoerquilts.com/2020...week-1-update/

This is an improv quilting project from 2020...I'm watching for a new project for 2021:
https://www.sarahgoerquilts.com/2020...in-mini-quilt/

here is another I'm watching/waiting for:
https://www.simplesimonandco.com/201...domestic.html/
https://www.youtube.com/c/sewmodernquilts

Also not exactly a BOM, but this is a modern quilt block series:
https://sewmodernquilts.com/category...-block-series/

Amy does a lot of modern and improv quilt along projects. She also does the quilt block series:
https://www.amyscreativeside.com/202...-block-series/

these are youtube videos of the modern quilt block series:
https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...+modern+quilts

these are not free, and maybe? not modern?
https://www.fabricgardenquiltshop.com/classes

also not free, but new for 2021:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDZ5ai0ps-Y

also, new for 2021 - but not necessarily modern:
https://jacquelynnesteves.com/my-hometown-bom/

I'll keep looking.....
