    Default what is this called

I was at a friend of a friends house last week. She had what looked like a piece of soft plastic ( about x.4 inches) she was using to wipe off her cutting mat. It really worked. She didn't know the name, she got it a couple years ago at a quilt show. I don't have a picture.

Yes, that it. Thank you. She thought it was made from a doggie chew toy or an office mat, something similar.

while googling for the product you mention I ran across a website that sells self healing cutting mats at a great price. A 36x24 mat is $43. Here is the site http://www.uline.com/BL_1174/Self-He...Q&gclsrc=aw.ds

Those look like the ones in Martha Stewart's craft line, which of course are much more expensive!!

gang, here's a much cheaper item to use to clean your cutting mat. You know those plastic scrunchies we use when we're trying to clean pots & pans? That's what I use & works really good. Cheap too, @ $1.

I'm with Cindy, I use those plastic pot scrubbers too. Works great to get the fuzzy fleece bits out of the mat. Amazing what you can find at the dollar store. I love that place, I normally come out of there with some good bargains.

I had one of these and DON'T recommend them...they do not stand up to lots of cutting. I have tried the clear and the blue. A quilt shop I went to while on vacation had new blue ones and they looked sooo nice. The next year when we went back the mat was worn out. Coming apart and lots of gouges. Stay with the green Omigrid they last longer.
