I have made 2 of what I think you are looking for. I used a crazy quilt 8 piece block and just added the 1 inch strips between each piece. I am still trying to load a picture but having all kinds of trouble. My file is not being accepted. I will keep trying.

Thank-you for posting your picture of your quilt with the lattice addition to the crazy quilt. I really like your color choices and would love to see your autumn quilt, I imagine it to be beautiful too!

I don't really see an example of what you mean yet. Laying a strip between the halves would work (like applique), but I think you're looking for a piecing technique. It could be done fairly easily with paper piecing. Draw a square the size you want (including seams) with a stripe from one corner to the other. Fabric #1 would be the fabric you want in the center, then sew the other fabric to the other two sides. Does that make sense?

true4uca, the problem you have trying to post photos is likely related to the file size. This site can only support pictures resized to " medium or small". If using a computor, you can resize by editing your photo to a smaller format. If using a tablet or phone, try emailing it to yourself ( use the resize option before sending) ...then " save to your device" from the email, and use that version to post on here.
