Cindy, The scrappy 4 patch started with 5 inch charm squares. I layered the 4 patches with a 9 1/2 inch yellow square and drew a line from corner to corner diagonally . I sewed 1/4 inch from the line on each side then cut the line. This made 2 blocks without having any diagonal stretching. I don't remember exactly the finished block size, somewhere around 8 inches.

Thank you Mary, Now to go looking for that yummy yellow. So sorry, another question, do you recall the overall size of the quilt or number of blocks each way. I have so many containers of scraps...I love your quilt, Cindy

Cindy, the Yellow is from Connecting Threads solids, the name was Butter or something close to that. I think there were 8 rows of 10 blocks. You could make it as big as you want, I try to make them a size that will fit in a regular washing machine. Have fun.
