Default What color to use for pathways TATW

Always appreciate the viewpoints on the Quilt Board! This appears brighter and happier here than in real life. Anxious to get going on some paths to do something a little different. The center block will likely have an appliqué "R" for our last name instead of the squares, Thanks for any help!

I think I'd use a solid (or reads as solid) navy to match the navy and white print in all the blocks. I think a darker color would frame your blocks.

I would use a solid or near solid chocolate brown.

This is just exquisite use of fabrics! i love the way each is different but with the one unifying print in all of them.

I too, would use a solid. I think you have to audition a few different colours, to decide which will compliment your blocks in the best way. My first thought was navy, but the right brown might work too. I don't think I would go with a light colour.

Thank you! Funny because the way I dress and decorate is very subdued but when I get to the fabric store I want 1/4 yard of everything I like. This is a stashbuster. The unifying color is purple.

I would use white or ivory , it will make the fabulous colors of the blocks the predominant feature. You could use a tone on tone , if the pattern is very subtle.

I would use something like a tan to audition for the background.

Lovely blocks!

I'm curious about the construction, meaning ... why are they sewn together in blocks already. Are they English PP? Or will you be trimming the edges of the blocks?
