My sewing area walls are light "wood" paneling. If it were up to me, I'd live in a log cabin.

My sewing room, like most of the rest of our house, has knotty pine board walls.

my sewing room is also a yellow color. I have found a great yellow color and have it thru-out my home. I am in my basement and want to move things around down there, but it's going to require getting an electrician down there to put electric in the part I want to move into. Someday....

I recently re-claimed my DD's purple bedroom and it is now a buttery soft yellow. I love it and now want to paint my other small sewing room the same colour.

I moved into my DD's old room in May and chose a soft yellow for the walls. I just love it!

It makes the room feel so bright and airy since most of my furniture is white.

Mine is a yellowish gold which was intended to be our new guest room
but as I was painting the room it occurred to me that it was a much larger
space than what I was going to use for my sewing room so we are working on
my new sewing space. I love the color and it is very bright and at times you
can't tell if the light is on or just the sun shining. Next step to put flooring
in and then shelving. Very anxious because I have to sew on dining room
table. I forgot to mention just moved into the house in July. It is over 100 years
old and totally needs a whole house renovation. It was my inlaws house so we
inherited it. My sewing room is the second thing on the list. We needed a guest
room first since my sister is coming to visit soon. It is almost done so on to finishing
my sewing room. Will have 2 rooms one for sewing and one for my longarm. It will
be wonderful since my last house everything was crammed into one room.

My sewing room is white, but who could tell; with cabinets, dressers, book cases, shelves and wall hangings covering most of the space. However, I do believe I'll break down and paint one wall every other week so I don't have to move everything at once. It is way too large, and I sure managed to fill it. But love it. When I say "I" will do the painting, I really mean my daughters, or a painter. I like the idea of a soft yellow, or teal. Maybe I will just have the ceiling painted. Thanks for the idea of color. Happy quilting.

Well as of this moments my living room is my sewing area. So I guess my walls are beige. Not to exciting for a sewing area. I have imagine that once our new house is built and I have a designated sewing room I will most likely go with a soft yellow or some other cheerful color that making one feel as if it is a nice bright sunny day outside since I live somewhere that is usually dreary especially in the winter where I spend alot of time cooped up in the house due to snow.
