I worked on a quilt for a wedding gift to a relative who is marrying someone in the Army. Almost done, after fighting the sewing machine which didn't feel like sewing, and the cat who thought he should shred the batting.

My husband and I spent Sunday putting flowers on family graves. We talk about each person and how they are connected to us - some graves go back to the early 1900's. Then we go out to . Took my Mom to Mc Donald's for supper like we do every Sunday. Monday we had a picnic with our son and daughter and their families and my Mom. We made it home before the storm hit.

Good for you & your family. Wise grandma has passed on wisdom to grandson! (I feel pretty small saying that I quilted at the cabin most of the day - but it will be a gift to my father in law & he's a veteran!

I spent the entire weekend with my 84 year old father at the hospital. He took a fall Friday evening and broke his arm. They did surgery on Sunday and he was released yesterday. In the meantime, I managed to end up with a sinus infection, kidney infection, and dehydration so I spent all day Monday and yesterday in bed while DH did hospital duty for me. I had so looked forward to the 3 day weekend...had even stopped by the LQS after I left school on Fri to get some fabric to make a sunhat for our grand daughter who is 10 months old. Just goes to show how plans change in an instant sometimes..

Wow, what a gift you made for others and what a smart grandson. And just when we think they aren't listening...

I thought about quilting but that was about it. Sunday was my son's HS graduation so all my days prior went into prep for that. Monday my BF and I went and spent the day with some friends of ours for a low key day.
