I make a lot of pot holders. Just finished some Wizard of Oz pot holders for my grown daughters who love the film.

I was going to suggest a neck warmer pillow, but seeing as how you're in Tucson, how about a neck COOLER? Or a beer can sleeve or two? Barbecue apron?

Does he wear sun glasses? the Snap bag can be made longer, to hold a pair of glasses in the car visor?

A tray to dump his pocket contents into, or to drop keys, etc
Here is a tutorial -- it's easy to do, you can make it any size you way.
