We were discussing at work today the terrible tragedy in Japan and was wondering, other than the Red Cross, is there another organization that is taking donations? Our prayers and thoughts are with you all. Just this morning we heard of a 4 month old baby pulled from the rubble after 3 days and she was unharmed and returned to her parents.

You might touch base with a Japanese community near you to see what they are doing. Just a thought.

I saw that clip about the baby. Someone was watching over her.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are at all disasters. Find your local Ward in the yellow pages and I am sure there is a Relief Society that is doing some sort of charity work in your area. I'm sure any of the Wards would love some more helping hands.

I sent money to the Salvation Army a few days ago.
They don't pay exorbitant salaries to their staff like some other charities do.

On the news they were saying to donate just money to the American Red Cross which will be sending it to established aid organizations in Japan. BE CAREFUL who you give money to. There are already scammers out there just trying to take money from people who want to help but don't check out the organizations.
