I just watched a video on this, and I think it is a wonderful idea. I have been saving my scraps for a long time knowing that someday I would do something with them. RIGHT
Well now I will as I am going to tear phone book pages today and then as I finish a project, I can add strips at that time. I have good intentions anyway. LOL

I like this idea too! We just never stop with the good uses of scraps.

I use them for binding for my scrappy quilts.
Just sew them all together and use it.
This ties in the scrappy look of the quilt plus you are using the leftovers. Tjis works great for kids quilts.
Do not worry about dif lenghts of the binding,it's scrappy.

I sew them together and use on the kids charity quilts I make, a scrappy binding looks good on a scrap quilt or just for a fun binding.

I save them for the log cabin quilts and have even cut them 2 1/2 by 6 and sewn them like a rail fence quilt.
