I love planning. I love choosing fabrics and choosing a pattern. I have many ideas written down.

I don't mind cutting the fabric. I enjoy sewing the pieces together and watching it come alive and take the shape that I envisioned.

But I really really dislike squaring up the blocks. I'm making a Friendship Star. It's going to have 42 blocks (I think). Each block has 1 solid square and 8 HST. I detest squaring up those HST's before I sew them all together to form the block. And it's putting a damper on my quilting this weekend. I keep taking breaks. I wish I could hire someone to square my squares!

I wish I could hire someone to cut everything out because I am always crooked and then do my binding too! :)

I have no problem with any part of making a quilt until I start to hand sew the binding on the back of the quilt. This is the worst part of making a quilt but the most satisfying when I am done.

Me, too. I find it very relaxing. Even more meditative than the sewing.

I love the planning stage....picking out the perfect pattern and then finding the fabrics that will make the pattern come alive.....I hate cutting.....there just has to be an easier way!

I like most everything except hand work. Hand work requires you to sit still - I'm not very good at that (never have been!). High energy. My sewing room is set up so that I have to move around the room constantly to cut, sew, iron, etc - I like it that way!!

Even when I'm on the computer I'm constantly getting up and down.
