Looks great! Love your choice of fabric.
I'd leave it. As mentioned. You'll never notice after it's quilted.

Quote: Nice concept - did you draw it yourself? I wish I could draw like that! Great idea.
I wish, too, LOL. I found it in Google images. All I had to do was reproduce it in a larger size which I did using graph paper. This is going to be the focal square of the quilt. I also found an image that showed the different colors of the heated metal to work it at the forge. My design is to take fabrics of those colors and reproduce that chart. This block of the blacksmith will probably be placed at the top left of the chart, however, I will play around with it's placement before I make the final decision. I could also put it in the center, but the chart will be rectangular and this block is square.

Quote: What do you make when you need to make a comfort quilt for a friend who's only interests are blacksmithing and watching TV? How about a blacksmith?

My circle got out of round when I pressed it and I am not sure if I should try to fix it or not. Any suggestions? I haven't stitched it down yet, won't until I decide whether to leave it or mess with it. lol
Magnificent emblem with excellent color choice for the background.

I would leave it as is. I think it looks great. Particularly after you are done quilting..no one will ever notice 'out of round'. Nice of you to do this.

It looks terrific Linda! I think it is just fine the way it is. Only you know you intended it to be a circle.
