I have made one small landscape quilt but I don't like the raw edges, any idea how todeal with the raw edges?

Have you tried washing it? Or "roughing up" the raw edges to fray them some? I think it's a personal preference type of look but those that I've seen done looked nice. The raw edges gave it some depth.

HTH!

I feel the same way. I haven't figured out how to overcome the problem. I don't like the stiffness of fusible webbinbg either. Sooner or later it is going to have to be laundered and then the edges will look messy(to me anyway).

Depends on how you are doing them. If you have decorative stitches on your machine you can make grass etc. If you do hand work you can do needle turn applique. You can also use a very light fusible (like Misty Fuse) and buttonhole stitch the edges down.

You could also couch yarn over the edges...

thanks for the great suggestions,it is amazing how several minds work better than one.
the one I made is froma picture of the Ouchita mountain hunting refuge, I will post a picture soon
I like landscape quilts, mostly of familar scenes but the raw edges bother me.
