Thank you very much Chele.. So, if I understand correctly, when applied to quilts, it means that the quilt is made of different types of blocks not necessarily with a pattern or the same pattern.. and the result is "a" quilt?
(sorry to show my ignorance again but english is not my first language)

My understanding of Serendipity, as applied to quilting, is to make a mistake or do something by accident, and it turns out well.

Indeed he is, Loretta. His name is Fabrice and he is now 20 months old. His little brother is on its way - he is due to arrive in this world in November. I am so thrilled and excited!

THe dictionary phrasing would be fancier but serendipity is like a happy coincidence.
