Thanks for all the ideas - I had no idea that there were so many BOMs around. I'm doing the Craftsy one and also the Aurifil : http://www.flickr.com/groups/2013aurifildom/. Now I'm off to find the one on this site and sign up for it.

This has been fun seeing all the BOM out there-for free too!
Now I'm doing about 6!
Ludlowquiltandsew, I enjoy your videos. You'll enjoy the BOM here on the board. I've done it for the last several years and it's a great group. SulaBug is terrific
One that I'm doing is the Castle one. I sent her a pix of my 1st block and she actually replied & said she'll put it on her site. Made 2 of the 1st Sulky block & am going to finish 1 into a mini quilt to hang on the wall in my sewing room

Delaware quilts BOM is doing something different this year (I am a newbie to this site) - looks like a quick quilt each month. I am going to try this. I have half done BOM's - with this BOM idea, if I do not follow through the entire year, I will have finished tops to show for my effort.

Thanks for pointing out that the pattern is free. I too thought they were charging for theirs. I've got it downloaded, but when will I start???

I signed up for the Craftsy one but don't think I'm going to do it as I really don't like the completed quilt -- too busy for my tastes. But I'll follow along on some of the techniques I want to learn. I am going to do the one on Pile of Fabric -- am already behind as I haven't chosen the fabrics yet. I didn't know there was one on this board and hadn't heard about the Open Gate quilts, so will check both of those out. But since I'm working on two mystery quilts right now and Judy will be offering another one in late Feb., I figure I better choose just two BOMs so as not to get too overwhelmed.

I felt the same way you did..but it is the polk a dot fabrics she used that I really don't care for. I think I may do the blocks and by using my own fabric choices I will like it much better. If you look beyond her fabrics I think the blocks look nice.

I am participating in 11 block of the month projects. I think I went a bit overboard this year. Thank goodness one ends next month, one in June, and I think one around August. For the most part, I plan to take the BOM projects and make a bunch of little quilties (24" quilts, for the local NICU) from the blocks, because I'm not generally fond of sampler type quilts. I'm hoping to learn a few new techniques along the way, and use up a pile of scraps.
