this is one quilt where I used the small triangles I cut off making the main blocks, and the patriotic one I used them up making the quilt wider.

well, i finally found a picture of a UFO that i made with tiny red and white triangles. i've always wanted a Tree of Life. i think it remained a UFO because i tried to micro quilt in the white space and didn't like the results. i unstitched the quilting that i'd done and i think the holes have disappeared now LOL

They end up being 2.5" and play nicely in a nine patch with plain blocks. I am not sure what I am going to do with the nine patches but they will be easier to deal with than the smaller blocks. I have been saving the trimmings in a baggie to give back to her - lol.
