Looks great so far, I'm glad my version of the quilt inspired someone! Can't wait to see what you choose to do with them. I would strongly recommend you follow the book once it comes in; the techniques make life so much easier, and with those techniques I didn't have to pin anything. Just make sure you have the grain of the fabric parallel to the outside of the triangle, that is what the book recommends and it will make piecing it all accurately very easy.
