I use either my Janome 1600P on a Grace quilting frame or for smaller items my Janome MC6500.

L♡VE my Janome 8900 for fmq. The high shank allows me to use rulers/ templates with the ruler shoe on it's convertable quilting foot, and l free motion fluid lines with the hopping darning foot. Throat has 11" of room. I can easily do lap to single bed quilt...queen is a bit of a push.

I also upgraded my quilting to a new bernina 790E machine with the bsr.. I still use the 440 sometimes though. The new machine is set into a Kolala desk that has a large support area built in for heavier quilts.

I use my APQS Lucey Long arm the most. But I have used my Bernina BSR on my ex 630. And recently, I have been thinking about maybe learning to use my Bernina's to do ruler work on smaller projects and did try it out. It is on my list, both ruler work and using my BSR again with the new Bernina's. Of course, I will do the big quilts on the Lucey.
