It is a Bloomimg nine patch. "Tradition With a Twist" is a book with the pattern.

I have been collecting fabrics all year for one that I will start in Sept. It is that pattern with Fabric-Quilt line. "FLORAL VIGNETTES" fabric by Paint brush studios is most of the fabrics. I think they call it Wine and Roses. Mostly Rose fabrics with a black background.

I do run - on!
Hi,

I have that book. I pulled it out immediately when it occurred to me that it might be similar. The Bloomin' Nine Patch has a more rectangular pattern to it. I do think they're quite similar, tho. The same book has "Sunshine and Shadow" which appears to be even more similar, especially in the direction this pattern takes on. Thanks for the tip.

The blocks are NOT on point. This is simply a 9patch/block/9patch arrangement with the colors making the fabric colors appearing to be on point. There was a similar quilt (in green, I think) in a Quilter's Newsletter about a year or so ago.

There's a similar pattern in a book called Tradition with a Twist , sorry don't remember the author. I made it the only difference is, the squares are not on point and it was a very easy and fun quilt to make. If I can find a picture I'll post it. It is one of my favorite quilts I've made because it looks very difficult and is not AND you don't really know what it will look like until you finish it.

Think the blooming nine patch is set on point whereas this one is not. It is beautiful and will definitely go on my to do list.

Looks like a booming nine patch to me. I have made 3 of them. The pattern is in a book called Tradition With a Twist by Blanche Young and Darlene Young Stone.

That what I thought it was too. I made one and it's was very confusing keeping all the patches in order!

Hi, I started one of these quilts about 8 yrs ago and the pieces are still in the plastic bag I placed them in when my son moved in my sewing room. I keep looking at it every once in awhile and maybe someday I'll get it finished
