What is the oldest piece of quilting fabric you bought new?
I have been going through my stash, organizing, etc and I found some flannel that I bought to use in a crib quilt for my son (he's 38). I could not find anything to go with it so I stashed it.
How old is your oldest piece of fabric that you bought new?

I had two pieces of quilters cotton that I bought when my DD was a baby - she is now 47. I recently donated it to my son's church, who were gathering up fabric to make those pillowcase dresses for girls in Africa. I would have been too afraid to use it in an actual quilt but thought it would hold up good enough for a sun dress for a little girl.

I have some fabric scraps left over from sewing projects when I was in junior high and high school. I'm 61 and graduated in 1970. haha I can't bear to get rid of them, so I use pieces of them in scrappy potholders from time to time.
