I'm glad this discussion came up as I'm having a difficult time deciding on a quilt that's next in line for the frame and its various reds and purples with white as the background in the disappearing hourglass pattern. Border is a solid dark purples and the backing is a mottled dark purple. I thought about the grey but I'm leaning toward a pink now that someone suggested. I even looked at a pale green and/or yellow from my thread stash. Decisions, decisions.

I love your quilt with all those luscious colors. Can't wait to see how you quilt it. I'm sure whatever you do, your daughter will love it because it came from you.

Good Idea.
