No LQS's close. Just places that sell LQS quality fabic for $5 or less per yard. FQS are $.99 to $1.25 each. Of course, prices may incease with the latest price hikes.

$1.50, for quality quilt store fabric, but not the latest designs. My LQS sells all fabric for $6/yard, $1.50/FQ, and has for at least the past 5 years. It is a small shop with a wonderful, friendly, helpful owner - can't say enough good things about her. I wouldn't be too surprised if prices go up one of these days. I try to buy something every time I go in, in hopes that she will stay in business, even though I really don't need more fabric.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL

$1.50 at Jo Anns and $2.50+ at LQS. I have just started buying half yard if I really like it. Usually a better deal.

I happen to agree with your philosophy. Buying FQ's is some marketing ploy. Someone has to be paid to cut and wrap these things. The expense is then passed down to the unsuspecting consumer. Don't even get me started about fat 1/8's

Mine are $3.00 - $3.25 for regular , $3.25 to $3.50 for batiks. That was one month ago! Could be more this month. I think they lower range ones they just figured it was not worth re- marking them.

Our Joann's raised the FQ's to $1.99 each. I didn't look at the LQS. They have a basement and the clearance fabrics are down there. I usually head down there and find some nice fabrics for half price. Most are sale priced at about $5 a yd. They have lots of cute patterns and books too for 40% off.

ive seen 2.75 as highest here..
my personal goal is to stay under $2..usually sales at $1-1.50 i will hit those up. never pay full price.
buying 1/2 yards is better idea as someone mentioned.
