I went to the National Quilt Show on June 18, 2010 in Columbus, Ohio (my 1st National show) and had a blast.

I had been looking for a book that has information on charts to show # of blocks, binding etc. from different size pieces of fabric

I found one and the name of the book is:

Patchwork Minus Mathwork from House of White Birches from Berne, Indiana, book # 141301 for only $7.95

this is the link to the book if you like to see it

    http://www.amazon.com/Patchwork-Minu...7016851&sr=8-1

    Awesome book!

    My most recent:

Hooked on Feathers by Sally Terry (still need to set aside time to practice this - but it looks like a great way to learn!)

Star Log Cabin (Quilt in a Day) by Eleanor Burns

Charmed (A Fresh Twist on Charm Squares) by Jodi Crowell

I buy most of my books 2nd hand thru Amazon or eBay. I rarely buy a brand new one unless I absolutely must have it immediately!

So many that I can't even begin to list all of them. I'll list some that I remember:
    The Civil War Diaries
5 Carol Doak Books 2 new at her trunk show/workshop at Threads of Time in Danville--a magnificent fabric store/retreat center if you ever are in the area.
2 Judy Martin books at her trunk show at Threads of Time
2 Eleanor Burns Books when I was in Paducah
a stack about a foot high from a garage sale
plus 3 huge three ring binders full of quilting magazines at a garage sale. I must admit that 3 of my Carol Doak books and The Civil War Diaries I bought from other people at a tremendous savings.

You're right, it is. I got mine on a garage sale for 50 cents.

I buy from Amazon.com I just got a book $1.03 plus 3.99 shipping, it was "creative two-block quilts" by Trice Boerens. It was recommended on a quilting site offering it for sale at $16.95. So when I see something I like I just go to Amazon and search it. Found it CHEAP as I always do. I buy most all my books on Amazon.
