Needle turn and machine applique - alternatives to fray check?
I have a quilt where I did some big applique pieces. I used Steam a Seam Lite and ironed the pieces on. I then machine stitched around the edges. The edges of those pieces feel mostly very secure.
I also did a small needle turn applique, which is fraying a bit more than I like. I used a batik but it was really tight corners (I was cutting out a pineapple on the batik and appliqued it on the quilt). Looking back, I probably should have fused something on the back of that...?
Anyway, I was thinking of adding something to all of the edges to keep it from fraying since I'm a worrier. I feel like the machine appliques should be fine, but the pineapple concerns me. I did a search on here and read posts about how Fray Check changes the fabric color, so that's out. Are there any other products to keep the fraying in check without changing the color of the fabric? This quilt is going to be used and I'd like it to be washable

I like the June Taylor fray check, not sure of what it is called but not fray check but the same thing. It is on the notions wall at Joann's and much cheaper than fray check and a larger amount . Have been using it for quite some time and have never had a problem. I put it in a small bottle that is pointier at the top. I think they are either suppose to be for glue or paint, and poke a tiny pin hole in the top.
