It was mentioned to make an apron with pockets out of the pickle fabric...how about making the pockets to look like pickle jars?

How about a tote bag to carry the pickles in that she brings you.

Cute fabric. I do canning and think a kitchen set would be a great gift. maybe make a placemat with a pickle jar on it for the jars to cool on. most recipes make approx. 6-8 qt jars. so make it big enough for that. also you need to cover them with a cloth while they cool.I use a kitchen towel.so one about that size. or a towel with cucumber borders. also at least 1 pot holder.and maybe a apron.also the circles of fabric to put on the tops of jars would be a nice added gift. Your lucky to get home made pickles. now I can't wait for summer and the garden. Mary

Saw a wall hanging with jar shapes. Each one had different fruit or veggie. Cute. I like the pot holder and hot pad idea. Put the special liner in the pot holder so it's heat resistant. Got mine at Hancocks when I made Christmas pot holders a few years ago. A small border on a hand towel would be nice too. Pad, Pot Holder and towel. A nice set.

All great ideas, love the apron or pillow cases idea especially. Had to laugh, the fabric made my mouth water and now I am craving a pickle :-)

Make a rice bag from it! Sew 3 sides and add long grain white rice to it about 1/2 full and sew shut. Heat in microwavw for 1 minute. Makes a great heating pad!
