I just purchased my first fat quarter bundle, what would you do with it? I was drawn to the fabric like a moth to a flame. Had to have it, not my colors, something new.

i'd do a d9p with all the colors, it will come out great. I don't do it structured, I go random with my patches, it comes out nicely, when you're done, you can always applique on top

Let them sit there a bit. Pet them. Shift them around. They will speak to you and let you know what to do.

There is a website (Pincushion Boutique) that specializes in patterns using 8 FQs. Or you can try the Wickedly Easy Quilt by By Annie. Then there's always Yellow Brick Road and Turning 20.

I would find a yard of coordinating fabric, and make a lap-sized quilt from a pattern called "Bailey's Quilt."

Thanks y'all, I do like the yellow brick road pattern and I think that would work great if I don't decide to turn it into placemats. LOL. The fabric is Flower Drops by P&B textiles. I saw it in the Hancocks Paducah catalog and it didn't even interest me. Saw it in a quilt store while shop hopping, picked it up twice and put it back, third time I kept it.
