Most quilt guilds make charity quilts. You could find a quilt guild near you and donate it.

Many churches make ministry quilts for shelters, cancer cernters or nursing homes. They are always looking for free fabric so you might check your local churces.

If you donate it to a thrift store, you might want to give it to an independent one (if you have such a thing) instead of a big one like Goodwill - their prices have gone way up, and those who truly need it may no longer be able to afford it.
