What would you say?

Interesting how people perceive things differently. I gifted my SIL a quilt that she absolutely loved. I had sent her a pic of my husband on his first day home from the hospital and he was wrapped in it. I surprised her with it. (we live in different states so I sent it). The first thing she said after her excitement was that she would make sure nothing ever happened to it, meaning she would just display it somewhere. That's fine with me but I sort of hoped she'd use it. I just told her to enjoy it.
And she is. Actually it was one of my favorites and giving it to her made me so happy as she's a wonderful person.

I made a quilt for each of my cousin's 2 adult children for Christmas. Her daughter loved hers so much she said she was going to hang it on the wall so the animals (they have 3 cats and a dog) wouldn't ruin it. I was so flattered that she thought that much of the quilt.

i once saw a quilt nailed to a wall - and could see tears around the nail holes. I did tell that guy that the qult was tearing.
