My favorites change with whatever I am working on, but time and again I go back to some form of log cabin. So many ways to use it, or Double Wedding Ring, or Dresden Plate, oh dear, I can't choose!! I love them all.

I tried this link and saw the pictures but couldn't get any of the patterns to download or even show up on screen.

Did anyone else try it? Did it work?

I love the block with southwestern shades and the art deco design. I didn't realise that New York beauty could have so many great variations. Another site saved to desktop / quilt designs folder

Gathered Star: The picture I have made up in my mind of this block is great.

My all time favorite block is the log cabin. There are so many different arrangements that can be made with them and they can be scrappy or more 'formal' but they are always a joy to make. I just don't get tired of making them.
