I really like the Roxanne betweens. I use them for all of my quilting needs and sometimes for those awful 'mending' jobs our spouses come up with, lol. I've not been fond of the John James or, frankly, the Thimblelady needles. Thimblelady needles bent far too easily for me and I found the John James 'dull' in comparison to the Roxanne. JMO.

You only hand sewing I do is epp....but I seem to be accumulating a "collection" of needles! Have tulip, boning, and just love the way they glide thru the fabric, but they bend so quickly. I just rec'd some clover #10 applique needles....longer lasting and working well so far! As far as threading....need help, can't just push thread thrumthat minuscule eye anymore...use the bohin needle threader....a great thing!

I like Roxanne needles. Wish they would make them in different lengths.
Milward (UK) is also very good but not sure if they are still available.
Got mine long time ago and I'm pretty sure my favorite needle came
from there.
