I enjoy creating the quilt in my mind, choosing fabric, colors, and patterns. Then, translating it to fabric, and finding out that it turned out great! I also like shopping for fabric, even if I don't have a project in mind - I usually find something to use it for.

Ditto. I love the whole process but would enjoy it even more if my mind stayed on task rather than planning my next quilt and my next LOL

Mine is the putting it together, choosing the fabric, cutting, sewing . Once done I procrastinate on the quilting.

Completing the first block, then row, then seeing the pattern come to life.

I have a lot of tops just waiting to be finished.
Tell me what y'all's favorite part is....
My favorite part is to hunt for the pattern I want to do next. Of course that doesn't always work out. I have to change my mind many times before make the final decision.

I enjoy the entire quilt making process, but my favorite is hand sewing the binding. It gives me a real connection
to the quilt.

I love the whole process! From the doodling to fabric selection, drafting to cutting, stitching to pressing, I enjoy all of it - even the frustration of "How am I going to quilt it." I am a truly addicted quilter. My DH says that I have QCD (quilting compulsive disorder).

I enjoy all parts except making the sandwich. Right now I am working on a mitered log cabin which uses paper piecing (a first for me). I LOVED pulling and prepping the fabrics, sorting them into sets of 8 and seeing them come together in the blocks. So planning the project and picking fabrics must be my favorite.

I like the piecing..simple sewing. It relaxes me. I don't like the sandwiching. But the best part is the binding and hand sewing of the binding. Some of you might be groaning, and that's ok, but to sit there and put this final touch to the quilt is so rewarding to me. Yes, I sew mitered corners, too.

Planning and picking fabric and thread for quilting are first. Then hand sewing on the binding. Then piecing. Then quilting. Last is making the sandwich.
