What is your favorite way of making bias binding?
I've not made bias binding yet. I've seen various ways to make bias binding in magazines and online tutorials.Do you have a favorite method or tips to give when making bias binding? Thank you in advance.

I see no reason to make bias binding unless the corners of the quilt are rounded, or the sides are scalloped. So far I've avoided doing this. Google a U-Tube video and follow it would be my contribution to this thread. Sorry.

This is how I make a continuous bias binding strip. You can find charts on the internet to tell you how big a square you need to start with depending on how wide you want your binding and how long it needs to be. I have never, in over 20 years, used anything but this type of binding, even on wallhangings. I always make extra and then piece those strips together to bind scrappy quilts.

I prefer bias binding but do it the old fashioned fold a length of fabric folded on the bias, press, cut and piece the strips together. Why do I like it? Because that is the way I was first taught. 
Oh, sure from time to time I do not have enough yardage to make bias and then straight of grain will be used rather than buy more fabric. I have a preference but I am not a fanatic. Tee-Hee-Hee.

I have found this tutorial most useful for me. It is simple, easy no special tool needed, no folding the fabric and specifically it was so easy to understand. I have watched so many tutorials and this one works for me.

I do not press my binding strip in half.
I baste the raw edges together, instead.
The reason I do not press my binding strip in half is that when the binding makes its turns around the edge of the quilt, the "center crease" is moved over two or three threads and then does not turn as nicely as it could.
Think of turning a corner with a car or concentric arcs. The inside corner does not cover as much ground as the outside corner.
