Whats the largest king size quilt that you have machine quilted using your regular sewing machine.
I'm making a king storm at sea, and right now it is 105x105. If I add an additional pieced border it will be 114x114. I really want to add this border, because I'm thinking after machine quilting if I leave it at 105 the stitching will make it shrink up too much.
I am only stitching in the ditch with my running foot on this one, because Its too large to free motion quilt. Was wondering if anyone has tackled this here?

I haven't ever done this. But I'm sure someone has.

I have done several king size quilts on my regular sewing machine. You just have to take it slow and have a bit of patience but it can be done.

Funny you said this. I am giving my cousin a quilt that is 98 x 108 and thought that was a "generous queen" Now that i think about it, it is probably much closer to a king. I quilted it with a walking foot on my Quilter's Choice regular machine. Not easy but not too hard to do...

Thank you, I'm going ahead and adding the borders! Just needed someone to agree it was possible! Yes, I realize I'll need some patience!

I quilted quite a few extra large queens and a couple kings on my regular sewing machine. I did find that quilting gloves helped a lot.

The largest one I've done was 120x130 on my home machine. I did it as a quilt as you go, FM. Believe me, it WAS NOT easy. LOL
